Welcome to a great 2022! There is an old saying that “many pebbles can make a mountain.” The beauty of HRACRE is that together we have a strong voice and positive impact in our community…Together, our pebbles strengthen our rock-solid organization. Our goal in 2022 is to help make the HRACRE mountain vibrant and growing----creating positive differences in our member’s lives. We can do so in the following three ways:
- In Person Meetings:A great strength of HRACRE is the wide range of experience of our members. Sharing those experiences at in person meetings, whether for Programs, Socials, or Committee Meetings, allow members to renew connections, relationships, and build a better self. For 2022, I want to make sure that (Covid willing) we can meet in person at our impressive list of events. In so doing, we generate enthusiasm both for ourselves and in tandem the future of HRACRE.
- Growing and Building HRACRE:Our Membership Committee has set a goal of 550 members by 12/31/22. HRACRE’s vision of networking, information, and tireless representation for commercial real estate is one that others should know and share, preferably through membership. Invite someone to a program or a social to see our organization…by joining they may become a future Committee Chair, Board Member, or President. And take the time to help your organization by volunteering to serve on a committee. They’ are our lifeblood and will energize you with the great work they perform monthly!
- Serving Our Community:HRACRE should represent all the community and is stronger for doing so. Building on past successes, HRACRE is partnering with the REACH Foundation to encourage Veterans, Women and Minorities to join our local Commercial Real Estate community in several important ways. First, REACH plans to add a second scholarship targeted to the broader underserved community in 2022. They are reaching out to all local higher learning institutions to ensure the word is out….and HRACRE can help. Second, to help keep our Veterans local and in our economy, REACH will continue to grow its Veteran Externship, which started in 2021. Lastly, the Young Professionals Group is beginning to thrive, bringing new participants and energy to HRACRE. We welcome all who can help HRACRE’s mission of networking, representation….and fun!
My wishes for 2022 is that we all stay healthy while building an organization that is even stronger at the end of the year than it is now. I am looking forward to sharing our journey as we make 2022 a great one for each of us!
