2026 HRACRE REACH Foundation/CREW Scholarship

2026 Scholarship Applications are OPEN

The HRACRE REACH Foundation, Inc. and CREW Coastal Virginia are committed to increasing diversity in the commercial real estate field by supporting the next generation of female commercial real estate professionals.
HRACRE REACH Foundation, Inc. is proud to provide a scholarship in the amount of $4,000 for a female student pursuing a degree which will lead to a career in the commercial real estate industry. The scholarship recipient will be selected on the basis of academic record, demonstrated leadership, extracurricular accomplishments, and reference letter. Financial need is not a consideration. One scholarship will be awarded to a selected student based on a comprehensive evaluation process on or before April 30, 2026. In addition to the scholarship award, the recipient will be eligible for a one (1) year student membership with CREW Network. If the recipient resides in Hampton Roads, the recipient will also be awarded four (4) regular luncheon program tickets for CREW Coastal Virginia along with the student membership.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Applicant must be a female and a citizen or legal permanent resident of the United States
  2. Applicant must be a full-time student, with a minimum of twelve (12) credit hours (risingundergraduate junior or senior, or graduate student) for the upcoming academic semester
  3. Applicant must be a resident of one of the following cities/counties: Chesapeake, Hampton,Newport News, Norfolk, Portsmouth, Suffolk, Virginia Beach, Accomack, North Hampton,James City County, Surry, Gloucester, York County, Isle of Wight, Williamsburg or Poquoson, orattend college or university in one of those cities/counties
  4. Applicant must have maintained a minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
  5. Applicant’s area of study or declared major must be in one of the following Qualified Fields of Commercial Real Estate (“CRE”):

Finalists will be interviewed via Teams during the second and third weeks of April 2026.
Selected scholarship recipient will be notified on or before April 30, 2026.

--Completed applications must be submitted along with all required attachments and supporting documents (please see the list of application components set out below) BY 5:00 P.M. ET ON TUESDAY, MARCH 31, 2026.
-- Applications that are incomplete, do not include all required attachments or supporting documents, or that are received after the deadline, will not be considered.

-- Scholarship funds will be paid directly to the recipient’s institution for tuition or expenses upon evidence of registration in classes.
1. Completed application form.
2. At least one (1) letter of recommendation from either a professor or a professional within a Qualified Field of CRE.
3. Proof of current full-time student enrollment. Scholarship funds will be paid directly to the selected student’s institution to be applied to pre-determined costs.
4. Electronic transcripts obtained directly from the registrar’s office at each institution where applicant is currently enrolled, and from any other college or university applicant has attended, showing all undergraduate and postgraduate coursework completed in the last three years, including applicant’s Fall 2025 grades.
5. Personal Essay on Leadership (500 words or less).
All information provided herein by me is true and correct to the best of my knowledge and belief. I understand that if I am chosen as a scholarship winner, I must provide evidence of enrollment/registration at the institution of my choice before scholarship funds will be awarded.
Scholarship funds will be presented directly to the institution.
