2026 HRACRE Summer Internship Program Student Application

HRACRE is a commercial real estate association comprised of various industry professionals such as developers, contractors, architects, engineers, attorneys, appraisers, bankers and brokers. The HRACRE Internship Program was established to attract the best and brightest students to Hampton Roads and to improve their understanding of the commercial real estate industry.

• Participating member employers select intern applicants for interview; selection of interns and matters of compensation are left to the employer’s discretion.  Please be ready to hear from one or more of our participating companies to discuss their internship opportunity and details.  If you have accepted another internship whether it's through our program or outside of our program, please let the employer know that you are no longer available.
  
• During the internship period students will have an opportunity to participate in education programs by leading industry professionals, speed mentoring, tours, luncheons and numerous opportunities for networking. 
• Certificates and awards for top participants will be announced at the Closing Luncheon.  The program will start on June 8th, and run for 6 weeks, concluding on July 22nd.  However, your individual internship within one of HRACRE's member participating employers may start sooner, and conclude after the HRACRE programming.   
• Scholarship Opportunity!  At the conclusion of the 6 week program, all participating students in the HRACRE program will be considered to be recipients of scholarship money.  Participation entails attending at least 80% of the programs offered by HRACRE during the 6 weeks, participating in the way of asking questions during the programs and tours, as well as writing and submitting a short essay.
